Actuarial Analyst Our Actuarial Analysts have the advantage of interacting with multiple areas of the company. Using excellent analytical and statistical skills, you will make projections on our financial balance sheet for claims payouts. You will analyze multiple segments of the business and previous analyses to help determine current projections. In this role, you will also create and present reports to business leaders to support your estimations. This position will provide you with the tools needed to grow professionally, including study time for actuarial exams and the chance to work with credentialed Actuaries.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Needed to be Successful: Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Finance, or related technical or business field and 0-2 years of experience
Strong mathematical, analytical and organizational skills with detail orientation
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to learn quickly and apply advanced problem solving skills
Ability to work well in a team environment with individuals at all levels of the organization
Intermediate grasp of technical/specialty skills (e.g., actuarial, personal computing, mainframe, etc.)
Proven desire to pursue Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS) exam track
A person in this position will typically have passed one to three actuarial exams
A recent college graduate who has not yet passed an actuarial exam may qualify for this position
Preferred Skills:
Proficient with Excel including macros, and data extraction tools including SAS
